Sponsorship Spotlight: Carbon60 Project Services & the Royal Navy Winter Sports Association

Carbon60 Project Services proudly sponsored the Royal Navy Winter Sports Association (RNWSA) for winter 2023/24, supporting the association in their efforts to provide all service personnel – including injured veterans – with access to snow and ice sports throughout the season.

This sponsorship of the RNWSA, who train and develop winter sports athletes to compete across eight disciplines and events – Alpine Ski, Snowboarding, Telemark, Nordic, Bobsleigh, Bob-Skeleton and Luge – at inter-service and national competitions, and work with service charities such as the British Limbless Ex-Serviceman’s Association, is in keeping with Carbon60’s enduring commitment to our Armed Forces and helping to provide opportunities for service men and women.

Snowsports Festival 2024

As part of the relationship between the organisations, the Royal Navy Winter Sports Association invited Carbon60 Project Services to attend the 2024 RNWSA Snowsport Festival, held between 13^th and 27^th January at the Les Deux Alpes in France.

Four representatives from Carbon60 attended the second week of the festival, at which Carbon60 Project Services also sponsored the Banked Slalom Snowboard race – with our team presenting the winners medals at a separate celebration ceremony.

Aside from fulfilling their important role as medal givers, our representatives also had the pleasure of attending a series of events hosted by delegates and military representatives.
