An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist to join a major airline at London Heathrow, supporting the delivery of a pioneering connectivity programme that is set to transform the passenger experience and redefine how airlines stay connected globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services required for a major aviation technology programme.
• Work closely with engineering, project, operational and supplier teams to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with procurement policies and procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times and delivery schedules.
• Support supplier negotiations to achieve best value, quality and service levels.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact programme milestones.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and support planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with aviation, quality and regulatory requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

✔ Previous experience in a Buyer, Procurement, Supply Chain or Purchasing role

✔ Strong supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills

✔ Experience managing purchase orders, sourcing activities and supply chain operations

✔ Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities

✔ Ability to work within a fast-paced, project-focused environment

✔ Experience within aviation, engineering, manufacturing or technology sectors would be highly desirable

✔ Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications

✔ Must have the existing right to work in the UK - sponsorship is not available for this position
